Not sure what to say?

She was such a beautiful person. She lit up a room, and always put a smile on my face. She will be missed. =(

Lyn, may the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ comfort you and your family!!

Aunt Jean had such a way to make you feel so special. Her bright smile and warm hugs left you feeling welcome and loved. The world seemed to be a better place when you visited her. She will truly be missed.

What a legacy! So enjoyed seeing her at church occasionally with Betty and David. She taught her children well, as is evidenced by them today. We send many hugs and sympathy to your family.

She was such fun to be around. I loved taking her dancing and playing cards with her. She will be greatly missed.

Jean's Obituary

Jean Langmaid, born in Natural Dam Arkansas on August 30, 1927, died peacefully in her sleep and was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on September 15, 2019 at the age of 92.

The daughter of Jenk and Betty Wiley, Jean graduated from Jenks High School in 1945, where she was a star basketball player. Upon graduation, she worked for Southwestern Bell in Sapulpa. At a dance she met the love of her life, Samuel G. Langmaid. They were married October 31, 1945 and spent 47 years together raising two daughters. Jean was a homemaker, and an active member of North Heights Baptist Church. She volunteered all over town, commonly with the American Cancer Society, the Salvation Army, the school PTA, vacation bible school, and in the church kitchen.  Later she held jobs at Bartlett Hospital in admissions, and with Garfield Elementary School.  She loved to dance, fish, cook, play cards and crochet. Jean was happiest when she was with her family.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mack Wiley; sister, Jessie Kelley and husband, Sam.
