John Calvin Kok

February 12, 1929 — May 21, 2022

John Calvin Kok, 93, born on February 12, 1929, in Zeeland, MI, United States, passed away May 21, 2022. He resided in Northridge, CA at the time of his passing. His fascination with aviation started at a young age leading him to study engineering and later becoming an Aerospace Engineer. He was a master at building very precise hand-made radio control airplanes and relished singing in the choir at church. He was proud of his Dutch heritage, USC football, Grace Community Church, his family and most of all his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is survived by his sweet wife Thelma, daughters Marilyn, Cynthia, Nancy, Carol and his son John. He and Thelma enjoyed the company of 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. His memorial will take place on June 24, 2022, at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills. Condolences can be sent to jkok@mail.com.
