Not sure what to say?

I am very saddened to hear of Jon's passing. Jon was a friend who I played football with at the University of Michigan. But, beyond that, through Jon's intervention with his Father Carl, I was able to get a job in broadcasting thanks to Carl and Jon's efforts. It was at that job working with Jon's Dad Carl that I met my wife, and a career happened. I am forever in their debt.
Rest in peace Jon, you and your father were two of the kindest people I have ever known. God bless you and keep...

I got to know Jon when I was a kid as he was a good friend of my older brother (Eric Haarz)and he was so much nicer to me than Eric was (smile). Jon was upbeat, kind, fun, friendly, personable – and always took time to talk to me when he was at the house or I saw him in town. Even after he started at U of M, I would see him in town after a PHS football game, and he would come over to say hi, ask about my parents, and hassle any boy I might have been sitting with. He was a good soul with a...

Memories of our time playing football together for Plymouth High will never pass. Teammates forever. Rest in peace #12

Sorry to hear of an old friend's passing. We were best friends from K-3, but never picked up after reuniting 2 years later. Though we had made new friends, we saw each other often., until I left Plymouth in 1968. I knew he went to U of M, and living as a lawyer in CA.

My deepest condolences to his wife, family and friends.

Sorry we missed each other, a great and talented person Rest In Peace my old classmate and friend

So sorry to hear of his passing. We were best friends K-3, at Canton Center, Hugh and Truesdell after which we got separated and never made the reconnection in later years, and then I moved when my dad got transferred. Have kept somewhat track of him as he went to U of M and then attorney in LA. To his family, I am very sorry for your loss.

Farewell old and cherished friend. I will remember with gratitude our great friendship of earlier days. Time and distance has worked its will on that friendship, but not its memory. May Paula, Mike and Patty be consoled by the memory of your life, friend.

I remember Jon from High School. He was positive, focused, and fun. He was a gifted athlete. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

The greatest friend and mentor anyone could hope for.

Truly peerless, head and shoulders above the rest.
