Jose Lim Pardo, Jr.

Jose "Dinky" Pardo, Jr., a devoted father and a faithful friend, went home to our Creator on September 22, 2021, at Providence St. John's Hospital at the age of 71.

Dinky, as he was fondly called, was born in Manila, Philippines to Architect Jose Pardo Sr. and Gertrudes Lim on May 14, 1950.

Despite being the third child of five, Dinky stood out as the reliable son and brother that Gertrudes and his sisters looked up to.

This admiration for Dinky carried on onto his peers as well, when the fair skinned mestizo joined his high school singing group out of love for singing.

Not only was he passionate about the voice, but also for numbers as well. He was very meticulous in everything he did; even in the simplest of tasks like planning, or making a decision.

His mathematical mindset did not just carry him all throughout high school and college, but also into his love for games such as Candy Crush and Sudoku.

Dinky loved cars, and gave importance to family time. He was a lenient parent and grandparent, yet strict at sometimes when the situation called for it. He was a very loving man, and would do anything for his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Augusto and Josefa Linda, Dinky is survived by his wife, Dolly; his three children - Divina (Alfonso), Jose and Juan; his grandchild Anika; his sisters Virginia (Elizardo) and Angela (Jun); and his loving nephews and nieces.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Dinky touched are invited to a Live Stream Funeral mass on October 12, 2021, at 5:30 PM Pacific time. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
