Joseph Mariano Lozano

August 10, 1950 — July 1, 2020

Joseph Mariano Lozano, "Peping, "Joe", 69, born on August 10, 1950, in Natividad, Pangasinan, Philippines, passed away July 1, 2020. He resided in Chino Hills, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.

Joseph is survived by his wife Teresita "Evie", the love of his life; by his children Christopher "Cling", Jennifer "Jing", & Jose Jr., daughter-in-law Rowena "Wheng", and grandkids Mark, Michael, Martin, & Maliyah. He is also survived by his siblings Adalberto "Bert", Alex "Calixto", Lucita "Cely", Lucila "Lucy". Joseph was predeceased by parents Raymundo and Encarnacion, and brother Rudy.

Joseph graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Central Luzon State University, Philippines. After graduation, he became an Agricultural teacher for 11 years at Eastern Pangasinan Agricultural College, Santa Maria Pangasinan. He later went on to work at The Philippine Coconut Authority for 5 years before migrating to the United States in May 1980.

Joseph met his wife, Teresita while teaching and officially married on Jan 29, 1979. For 10 years he was separated from his family, visiting the Philippines ever year to be with them. It was a sacrifice he was willing to make, so he could work to provide a better life & opportunity for his family. His wife & kids later followed him to the U.S. in September 1990.

Joseph shared his love of gardening with his wife, which they enjoyed as their pastime. He liked to travel and visit places even if it's just to see a movie or eat out with his family. He loved listening to music and watching movies. He enjoyed working and being productive, and believed in sayings such as: "If you work you die, if you don't work you still die, so why not work and die?", "Don't put off until tomorrow, what you can do for today," & "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all."

Joseph will be fondly remembered by family, relatives, and friends as a compassionate, giving, helpful, friendly, easy-going, down to earth person who was always smiling.
