Julio Garcia Lopez

It is with great sadness that the family of Julio Garcia Lopez announces his passing after a brief illness, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at the age of 73 years. Julio will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Laura and his two children Erick (Maribel) and Ingrid (James). Julio will also be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Eileen, Jasmine, Jamie and Aiden.

A native to Guatemala, Julio attended el Federal Instituto de Guatemala and graduated with a degree in accounting. While attending school he met the love of his life and married Laura on May 17,1968. As a young married couple they searched for a better life, moved and resided in Hollywood for the last 44 years.

Julio was often known for his seriousness and bluntness but yet his golden heart is the one that will be dearly missed the most. Julio often helped others without the expectation of receiving recognition. Even on his last days his wish was for his children to take care of his mother, Faustina Lopez and his wife Laura.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.
