R.I.P. MR.HUNTER WAS ONE OF THE BEST [email protected] THE OLD SOL.C JOHNSON. WE HAD SUCH GREAT RESPECT FOR MR.HUNTER.I REMEBER HOW WOULD TALK WITH US, SMILED. HE ALWAYS REMIND US HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS TO STAY IN SCHOOL.I WOULD THEN SEE HIM YEARS LATER UNTIL HIS HEALTH FAILED. MR. HUNTER WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.

Mr. Leonard Hunter was a great neighbor on West 33rd ST. and a Deacon at my Home Church (Brownsville). Mr. Hunter always enriched myself and other young black males in the 70' and 80' with Core Values to live by. During the summer our neighborhood (West 31st-36th ST.) would play in the park adjacent to his house and then clean up bi-weekly, and be given treats by Mr. Hunter and a Thank You! Mr. Hunter would always stop by my grandmother's house on W. 33rd ST. to give her communion when she...
