Obituary

Linda's Obituary

Passed away in her home in Holt, MI on June 9th, 2020.  She was 67 years old.

Linda was born on November 8th, 1952 in Lansing, MI to Everett and Ruth Fletcher.  She was a graduate of Lansing Catholic Central High School and retired from the State of Michigan Human Resources Department. In 1976, she had a son, Kory, the joy of her life. Linda married Gary Christensen in 1984.  Gary and Linda were avid Michigan State fans, active in the AA program and mentored many young people together.

When Linda and Gary married, they blended their families and Linda had a lot of love to share with all of the children. Linda enjoyed watching all of the kids and grandkids in their sporting and extra-curricular events.  Gary preceded her in death in October of 2003.

Linda absolutely loved Michigan State University Athletics particularly basketball and football.  She attended many games and bowl games over the years. Many of Linda’s beloved pets were named after the Spartans and their coaches.  Barbershop quartet was also a favorite pastime of Linda’s.  She enjoyed singing in them and made many lifelong friends with her travels. On any given summer weekend, you could find Linda up at the cottage at Clear Lake relaxing and fishing, she loved her time there.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Gary and her parents Everett and Ruth Fletcher.

She is survived by her son Kory (Becky) Christensen of New Haven, Indiana. As well as her stepchildren Chris (Kelly) Christensen of Addison, MI, Cindy Christensen of Lansing, MI, and their brother from another mother Jeremy Kittle.  Linda is also survived by her grandchildren Jordyn (Josiah) Clark, Peyton Christensen, Emily Christensen, Caleb Christensen, Noah Christensen, Sophie Christensen, Brittney Trevino, Ashly Trevino and Jacob Trevino.
