Lolito Galindo Hidalgo

Lolito G Hidalgo, a long-time resident of Fullerton, CA, passed away at his home from a long illness with progressive supranuclear palsy on August 29, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born to Ciriaco and Emerenciana (née Galindo) on July 6, 1937 in Candon, Illocos Sur, Philippines. He graduated from Feati University with a chemical engineering degree in 1962. He immigrated to the United States in 1969. He worked at NCR until 1974 and then had a long career at Fluor where he retired in 2001.

Lito was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He enjoyed tending to his garden, spending time with his family and friends, being the life of the party, dancing and traveling the world. He was active in several organizations including the Naravacan Association of Southern California and the Filipino Ministry at St. Philip Benizi.

Lito is survived by Virginia (née Fonacier), his wife of 53 years and his immediate family: Joy and Joseph Giovanni and their children Nichole, Cassandra, Joshua and Jacob; and Brian and Teresa and their sons Marcel, Cedric and Anthony. He also leaves behind 3 brothers and 3 sisters, several cousins, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
