June 7, 1939 — July 5, 2018

On July 5, 2018, Louis Carole Honoré left this world surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

Louis Honoré was born on June 7, 1939 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was the second youngest of seven children born to the late Anastasia Carlin Honoré and Frederick Honoré. He spent his youth in New Orleans before joining the US Navy at 17, and seeing the world. In 1963, after being stationed in San Diego, Louis moved to Los Angeles, California where he spent the remainder of his life. He worked various jobs before joining the Los Angeles Police Department Traffic Division from which he retired as a Captain after 27 years of service.

Louis was an entertainer, musician, singer, songwriter, comedian and a published author. He was the life of every party, the Master of ceremonies of every retirement. His love of a good story, good music, good jokes, and a good meal was only rivalled by his love for his family and friends.

In 1966, Louis married Andrea neé Paul (deceased) and from this union had three daughters, Lorraine Morrow, Lolita Honoré and Leisa Phyfier.

In 1975, Louis married Rosalba neé Merida, and from this union had two children, Lesle Honoré and Louis (Jocelyn) Honoré II.

Louis is survived by his wife Rose, his sister Iris Winters, his children, grandchildren: Petty Officer Ashley Honoré-Rushing (Crystal), Taylor Morrow, André Morrow, Destiny Booker, Christian Phyfier, Justin Honoré, Sydney Gibson, Sage Smith, Solomon Smith IV, Scarlett Smith, Gisselle Honoré and his great grandchildren, Michael Honoré, Autumn Honoré, Ariah Honoré, Lauryn Treu Hawkins and a myriad of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California.
