Lucy C. Romero

Lucy Romero 80 of Indio, CA passed away comfortably at home on May 2, 2020. Lucy was born on September 23, 1939, to parents Thomas and Virginia Carnero. She was married to husband Richard Romero for 44 years before his passing in 2006.
Lucy is survived by her three children; son Richard Romero of FL, daughters, Diane Martinez of Indio, CA, Mary Castaneda of La Quinta, CA, and 5 grandchildren; Brian Vasquez, Daryne Romero, Bethany Martinez, Elijah Martinez, and Jacob Castaneda, along with two sisters, Lydia Morin of Indio, CA, and Elisa Loredo of Indio, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Romero, mother, Virginia Carnero, and father, Thomas Carnero.
She was a resident of the Coachella Valley since 1960 and worked as a cosmetologist for over 30 years. Lucy's joy in life was her family, close friends and her love of music. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will always be remembered for her giving nature to those who knew her. She is much loved and will be greatly missed.
An intimate viewing will be held at Forest Lawn in Indio on May 13, 2020, followed by an intimate service at Coachella Valley Cemetery.
