Mary Pearl “Boots” Kitts

1935-2018

Mary Pearl “Boots” Kitts, 83, of Paris and Excelsior Springs, Missouri, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday afternoon, December 13, 2018 while surrounded by family. 

Mary Pearl Caldwell was born April 15, 1935 to Wilbur Harrison and Lillian Lucille Hatton-Caldwell in Shelbina, Missouri. She graduated from high school in North Kansas City, MO. She married Durward Russell (Rusty) Kitts on December 3, 1954 in Kansas City, MO. Mary was a career homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She and Rusty retired to their beloved farm in Holliday, MO in 1987, where they enjoyed life in the country and helped care for her parents. 

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Mary is survived by daughters: Vickie (Jeb) Pein of Excelsior Springs, MO and Pamela Kitts of Washington, MO; brother: John R Caldwell of Lee’s Summit, MO; 5 grandchildren: Ashley, Melissa, Holli, Mary Heather, and Brandon; and 8 great-grandchildren: Devon, Alyssa, Dominic, Lucas, Owen, Gavin, Gus, and Miranda.

Memorial services will be held from 12pm-2pm on Monday, December 17th, at Agnew Funeral Home 128 Caldwell St, Paris, MO 65275. Graveside service will immediately follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Airy Baptist Church, in care of Agnew Funeral Home in Paris.
