Monico Aguilar, 82, lifelong resident of Littlefield passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Littlefield. He was born March 26, 1939 in Littlefield to Fernando and Consuella (Guerra) Aguilar.
Monico married Carolina Coronado November 19, 1958 in Littlefield. He was a hard worker and worked for the City of Littlefield for many years. Monico enjoyed watching old cowboy movies and doing yard work. He was a talented carpenter. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolina Aguilar of Littlefield; a son, Mario Aguilar of Littlefield; four daughters, Mary Lou Venzor of Lubbock, San Juana Aguilar, Monica Sanchez Aguila, and Connie Rodriguez all of Killeen; a son-in-law, Jessie Tienda of Levelland; twenty grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Sonny Aguilar of Littlefield; five sisters, Manuella Rodriguez, Josie Garcia, Candy Zamora, Refugia Hernandez and Felipa Duran, all of Littlefield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rosemary Tienda, a grandson, Manuel Venzor, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday September 23, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Brian Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Melinda Venzor, Jessica Gonzalez, Lorainne Ortiz, Alejandra Sanchez, Gabriella Aguilar, Jaquelin Rodriguez and Monica Sanchez.
