On August 9, 2021, around 12:40 a.m., the Angels came and signed in on Elvin “Dubie” Hollinger’s II, wings to Heaven.

Mr. Elvin Lee Hollinger II, affectionately known as “Dubie” was born February 21,2002 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Elvin (Chereathe Cochran) Hollinger, Sr.

Dubie was a smart, fun-loving family man, who loved spending time and being around family. His favorite past time was playing with his nieces and nephews.

On any giving day, Elvin adored his finance’ Madison Rupp and spent endless hours with her.  Elvin was so full of life, energy and enjoyed playing video games. He was an avid sports player and watcher of basketball and football; and at any giving time can be seen playing these games at the park with his friends.

Elvin was employed by Albar Industries in Lapeer, MI, and during his spare time from work, family, and sports he could seen driving and fixing on his 2003 Buick Park Avenue Ultra.  He loved dressing “FRESH” in the latest fashions, particularly wearing his tennis shoes. He loved his parents cooking, especially his dad’s BBQ and his mom’s everything else, and a mean ole dessert to follow a good, cooked meal.

As the youngest of seven siblings, Mr. Elvin Lee “Dubie” Hollinger II, leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Elvin (Chereathe) Hollinger, Sr.; finance’, Madison Rupp of all of Mt. Morris, MI; 4 brothers, Antwan (Ebony) Coleman of Kokemo, IN, Jarylle Murphy of Flint, Jonnard Nelson of Ionia, MI and Reggie (Cherie) Hudson of Baltimore, MD; 2 sisters, NaCoryiez Hollinger and Janae Howell both of Flint; grandparents, Elmer (Sharon) Mitchell; god-parents, Zack (Alta) Smith, Sr., and Lavonda Remmer, all of Flint; 2 god-brothers, Zack Smith, Jr. and Breyland Remmer both of Flint; 4 god-sisters, Faith Smith, Brandi Remmer, Brionna Remmer and Brittney Remmer all of Flint; special friends, Karl Miller, Tywan Dixon and Dylan Cohoon; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Elvin Lee “Dubie” Hollinger II, was preceded in death by: grandmother, Jauneitta Hollinger; great-grand parents, Wallace (Sophia) Cochran; aunts, Geraldine Hills, Mary Lee Gaither, Frances Neal, and Barbara Hollinger.

The family would like to express special thanks to: Martin J. Banks and Legacy Funeral Home, Det. Victoria Lambaria, Lee (Jesse) Lambaria, Dionne Dickerson and Regina Campbell-Smith.
