Norma June Weeks, 89, born on February 25, 1931, in Kansas City, KS, passed away January 4, 2021. She resided in Mission Viejo,, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Norma lived a full life. Married 56 years to the love of her life Virgil who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her 3 children: Leana Marshall and her husband David, son John Weeks and daughter Robyn Walker and her husband Tom.
Norma is survived by 7 grandchildren: Michael Harriman and his wife Celeste, April Jauregui and her husband Gabe, Johnathon Weeks and his husband Giancarlo, Joshua Weeks (Deceased) Jacob Weeks and his wife Kirstin, Jameson Weeks and his wife Carissa, and Emily Joy Walker.
Norma is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Alexa Harriman, Isabella Harriman, Aidan Jauregui, Alaina Jauregui, Joshua Weeks and arriving soon Ryder Weeks. And last but certainly not least Norma is survived by her best friend of over 40 years, Doris Mills.
Norma accepted Jesus in 1955 and served Him till her final days. She taught Sunday School, was Sunday School Superintendent, Head of Vacation Bible School, Head of Girls Missionary Guild, and served as a deaconess in the church. She also along with her husband served as missionary's in Mexicali, Mexico and helped build a church there while also feeding and clothing the people of that village. Her love knew no bounds and even after loosing 2 of her own children still had compassion to welcome foster children into her home. She never missed an opportunity to tell others about Jesus and would share her faith openly.
Her life verse was Proverbs 3:5-6 Her grandson Johnathon commented when she passed that we were lucky to have her. Without her none of us would be here.
Yes indeed we were lucky to have her, she fought hard to stay here with us but she is now home with Jesus and free from pain.
