Not sure what to say?

There is a hole in my heart for the loss of Philip. He was a gift from God and I'm thankful that I have precious memories. You all remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Much love,

It seemed like only yesterday that Philip and I spent a day together on the golf course, and later on the boat. I thought to myself then, "he was born to be a Sailor," he carried himself tall and proud, but was still fun and funny. I was deeply saddened to learn he died too soon, and even worse, I was going to be out of town for his Memorial Service. He is sorely missed.

The Knoeller family extend their heart-felt sympathy at this time of great loss. May Our Lord and Savior give you comfort throughout these days and nights. You are in our prayers.

Cathy, not sure that we have met, but I also work at Kenan-Flagler and was so touched to learn about your wonderful son and was saddened to hear of his passing. What a blessing it must be to have had him in your life and what a comfort to know that while we do not understand God's ways, we do know that as a believer in Christ, Philip is now with Him!

Dear Kathy and family,

I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. And I pray that your faith helps you find God's peace.

I remember Philip from elementary school with my son, Matt, all the way through DSA. He was a fine young man who was called home far too soon. His service to country and love for his fellow man is an example for all to follow. May God comfort you in the days ahead.

Wish I would have had the chance to meet Philip. He an my Son Cliff where friends and I am so thankful for that. Philip is an Outstanding Young Man. I have heard an Old Saying that Marines Guard Heaven...But this Sailor will be the Chief Guard in Heaven. God Bless The Family...BIG NAVY MOM HUGS to All!

I never met Philip but he sounds like an exceptional son, friend, sailor and human being. I work with his mom and I know she was as proud of him as any mom can be of a son. I have two boys and I can only hope they grow up to be the type of man Philip was.
