Reynaldo Tonche Martinez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Reynaldo Tonche Martinez, our valiant and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all whose lives he touched. On December 24th, 2021, Reynaldo left peacefully while at home surrounded by his loved ones.


Reynaldo was born on June 6, 1936 in Fresnillo Zacatecas, Mexico to Antonia Martinez & Santos Tonche. Reynaldo resided in Indio, CA at the time of his passing.


In 1962 Reynaldo met his loving wife, Hermelinda, and spent the following 59 years with her.


Reynaldo was the beloved father of Alvaro, Oralia, Javier, Gabriel, Ofelia, Luisa, Christina, Mimi and Robert. Reynaldo was the very proud grandparent of 19, and great grandfather of 11.


Reynaldo lived a full and wonderful life. He was a rancher and horse lover at heart, he enjoyed performing in charreadas and was past president of the CV Charros Association. Reynaldo loved sports and thoroughly enjoyed watching boxing and the Dodgers. Most of all he loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.


Reynaldo will be dearly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
