Ricardo Villanueva Corrales

Ricardo Corrales, died at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center on June 5, 2020. He spent his early collegiate life at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA). His love for science, technology, engineering and mathematics, however led him to pursue a career in Chemical Engineering, after he left PMA. He graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology, and was a Registered Professional Chemical Engineer in California, USA and the Philippines. He held various positions in the fields of Process Engineering and Quality for companies such as Custom-Building Products, Hains Celestial Group of Companies, Image Laboratories, Colgate-Palmolive, Phil-Asia Food Industries and Union Chemicals (Ajinomoto).

Ricardo held prestigious certifications such as QC Manager for Organizational Excellence, Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Software Quality Engineer and Quality Auditor. He was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Chemical Society, American Society for Quality and the Knights of Columbus.

Ricardo was a great mentor and role model to his siblings, nephews and nieces. He enjoyed traveling and attending his nephews' and nieces' goings-on. He lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He is survived by his siblings Carlos Corrales, Zenaida Spradlin, Rolando Corrales, Imelda Ford, Fernando Corrales, Divinia Maher, Eduardo Corrales, Antonio Corrales, Rosalinda Corrales, Benjamin Corrales, brothers-in-law ( Jeffrey Ford,Thomas Maher, James T. Spradlin Jr,), sisters-in-law (Charmagne, Josie, Leyne, Teresita, Zoni), nephews and nieces. He will be missed forever…
