Richard A. Butera, age 84, a Korean War Era Veteran. Richard was involved in Amateur Hockey for 40 plus years. He was Director of Risk Management for USA Hockey and active with AHAI. He was also an inductee with the Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame and proud member of the Italian American Sports Hall of Fame. Active participant in many charitable organizations and recipient of awards in recognition for his involvement. Founder of Midland Insurance Agency in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Loving father of Richard (Lucia), Thomas (R. Lynn) and Denise (Anna Stefaniak) Butera. Dear grandfather of Katie, Margaret, Nicholas, Anthony, Richard, Michael and Francesca. Fond brother of Dolores (the late Carl) Shoufer and Joseph Butera. Uncle and great uncle of many. Visitation 3-8 pm Friday, April 22, 2016 at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S.
