Not sure what to say?

Our family grew up with Dick and family in the same neighborhood. Their family always welcomed all the kids into their house. It was sort of a hanging out spot. In the 50's on a hunting trip Dick and Burt (Dick's stepfather) put a rock into my lunch bag to make me think I had a monster lunch, and it worked. They got the biggest kick out of that. Dick put a lot of smiles on people's faces and he really enjoyed his time here. His memories will live with me forever.

Rich and Rose,
So sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your father and grandfather. I'm sure you have lots of great memories of him and we pray that God gives you much comfort at this time. Jeff & Jan Wiepen

Thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of great loss......May God give you comfort and peace.

Mary and Family~ I was just told this evening of this terrible loss. Dick Benda was a man that everyone always has and always will love to pieces! There's not one moment I can recall in which Dick didn't have me cracking up with his silly jokes and witty personality. Although the world has a hole in it without this beautiful spirit upon us, the Heavens are blessed to welcome such a beautiful soul. I will miss this man so much! Blessing, peace, and love Benda Family.

Knights of Columbus Council 3019

On behalf of myself, my family and the Knights of Columbus, I would like to express my condolences on the loss of Dick. He will be missed.

If there is anything we can help with, please don't hesitate to ask.

Dick will be remembered in a daily mass at St. Mary's Church in New Haven, CT, the birthplace of the Knights.

May God bless you all

My condolences on the passing of your father. Many prayers are with you at this very difficult time.
