Richard B. Spencer

My deepest condolences to the Spencer family. This comes as a shock to me. I am a parent at Jackson school. I volunteer in the lunch room everyday. Mr. Spencer was a part of my day, everyday at the school. He loved his job and all of the kids! He put all he had into those kids. And always made me laugh. One thing I'll never forget, is his love for the color purple. He always pointed that out when I wore purple. Also, his love for his cool pattern shirts, he was very proud of them! Rest in...

Such a kind and gentle man. Always laughing and smiling. Rich lovingly spoke about Maryann, his "better half", and his children. I will miss him talking to me in the background during my phone calls with Mare. Rich, you will forever be remembered. Much love to Maryann and the boys.

I currently worked with Rich, side by side at Jackson school. We had fun together and worked well together. I challenged him to wear button shirts the whole month of April, which he didn't think he could do, not knowing if he had enough of those types of shirts. He did it though. Friday, April 26th, was his last day to do so. We high-fived each other, when he came to work that day. He also gave me 100 grand bar that day from the teacher's lounge, because he knew it was my favorite candy bar....

I worked with Spencer for many years at USG. He shall be missed. My sincere sympathy for your loss.

Rich was a bus aide for D205 and loved what he did. He never hesitated to cover any route we needed him for. He was very devoted to the students of D205. He will truly be missed.

Heaven welcomed a special angel. You may have been our next door neighbor, but as Alex said, you were like family.

Thank you Mr Spencer for always showing care towards our family, for going to Alex's baseball games when he was younger, talking to him now about his hockey, asking about our own families and parents, and watching over our house and that darn street drain we both dreaded. Our neighborhood has lost a little bit of its character Sunday, but we are smiling as we think...
