Not sure what to say?

I know there are no words to say that will take away the sadness and loss, but please know that we all share in this time with you. May your memories of him help fill the empty place left behind. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Vicki Basman

Eichorn family - what a good man your husband, father and grandfather must have been! I never met him but I know Lise well, and if she is a reflection of her father (and I imagine she is) he was kind, thoughtful, smart, a good listener, a good friend, and a person of his word. I am sorry for your loss, but I know you all have lots of wonderful memories to hold onto as you say goodbye. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so saddened to learn that my friend and mentor had passed away. It seems impossible that someone who has had such a great influence on your life can be gone. However, I believe that Bob's legacy lives on in all of us who were his graduate students, and that we pass his traditions of compassion for others and rigor in the work that we do to our own students as well. Bob was a wonderful teacher and adviser, but beyond that, a truly great human being.

Mrs. Eichhorn, Lise, Gretchen, Stefan, and family. I was very sorry to hear of Dad's passing. Jackie, Joseph, and I send our deepest sympathies. Though I did not know Dad well, I have nice memories of a very intelligent man, with a warm smile and a great sense of humor. I have great memories of the wedding anniversary party at the Potawatomi Inn and how he was amused by our silliness and the skit we did. I appreciate his love of gardening and of course of his love of family and friends....

Mrs. Eichhorn and family,

Please accept my deepest condolences in the passing of Dr. Eichhorn. I work with Cheryl Maurana at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Maurana has shared many wonderful stories about her times as a student and colleague of Dr. Eichhorn. I am always left with the wish that I had had the opportunity to have experienced his passion for educating the next generation of leaders. He was a remarkable man.

Sincerely, Jean Moreland

Thanks be to Mr. Eichhorn for his service to our country and helping to protect our freedom. Sincere sympathy to his family and friends. May your cherished memories bring comfort in difficult times and help to keep him within your heart always.
