The Vigil will be held 9/26/2018 at Forest Lawn, Cypress (Church of Our Fathers) from 5 – 9 pm with Rosary at 7 pm. Mom's funeral is to be held on 9/27/2018 at 10 am at St. Polycarp Church in Stanton, CA. Interment immediately follows at Forest Lawn Cypress, Awakening Faith.

She is survived by her children (spouse): Gloria Page, Pat & Kim Velasquez, Mary Velasquez, Katherine & Philip Jones, Arthur Velasquez II, Frank Velasquez, and Victoria & Robert Baca.

Mom truly cherished every grandchild and she had fourteen: Julianne Page, Christina Page, Gwendolyn Page, Julian Velasquez, Autumn Velasquez, Daniel Velasquez, Amber Velasquez, Christian Tovar, Kain Baca, Kellan Baca, Kaden Baca, Colin Jones, Chayse Jones and Charley Jones.

Mom was the youngest girl of 12 siblings with Anna, Cosme, Valentine, John, Elvira, Martin, Mary and Peter passing before her. She is survived by Tomasa, Julia and Timothy. Her mom, Victoria Cruz went to be with the Lord in 1990 with her father, Frank Cruz, passing in 1947.

Mom was known as Rose, Dixie, mom and grandma. She created many items of clothing with her sewing machine and hemmed many pants for family and gowns for the girl's dances. She took classes on how to make patterns for clothing and could adjust any pattern. When she went to see her first grandbaby, Juli, be born, she could not believe the 8 foot stork that was delivered on the lawn. It had a bundle that announced the birth of a new baby. Shortly after returning to Southern California, she became a franchisee of Stork News and delivered storks for 15 years. She loved to deliver storks to twins, triplets and quadruplets!! She was known as the Stork Lady.

Mom and Dad loved to go to the grandchildren's baseball games and had to get the perfect place to watch. Mom and Dad welcomed the sibling's friends over for morning breakfast burritos before they went to elementary, junior high and even into high school. Our home was the place to be when parents were working. Mom lived a life of wellness that included going to mass every morning, bible study with her friends and doing yoga and dance on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Nifty after Fifty. Until just before she was diagnosed with cancer, she would pick up Vicky's boys from daycare or the bus stop, so they could spend time with her. She loved to get out in her garden where the grand kids would water while hanging out with Grandma. Orchids were her special love and they would multiply. Hummingbirds and butterflies loved to dance through her garden. She always had cats, a dog and sometimes a rabbit, ducklings or baby birds that needed care.

The neighborhood will miss her. We miss her dearly. We pray for you both!
