Rothary Sisowath Dimang

Our beloved Father, Rothary Dimang Sisowath, known to family and friends, went home to our Heavenly Father on May 8th, 2022, at the age of 87. Born on November 7, 1934 in Cambodia, Dad then moved to the United States in 1975 just after the major conflict in Vietnam and right before the Communist Party completely ruled his cherished, Cambodia in early 1975.



Dad served as a decorated Royal Cambodian Airforce Officer, with the rank of a Lieutenant Colonel, and additionally, he was a loyal member of the Royal Family. Prior to the end of the war, he was working closely with the US Embassy, as a Military Attache to Laos, in order to bring his entire family to freedom, in the US. Cambodia was his birthplace and his country for many years, but Southern California was his home, where he raised his children and where he would spend more than 47 years supporting his family, while touching the lives of so many and creating his own legacy along the way.



A loving Husband, Father, Tata, Great Grand Tata, Ta Chaor, Brother and Son, he loved to listen to music, sing with the grandchildren, and gather around the stage at family gatherings and having fun with all his children and friends. Dad's family was everything to him and he enjoyed telling stories and making everyone feel at home when he was surrounded by them. Dad had a deep love and passion, and nothing was more important to him than family. Always the life of the party with his sweet, kind and gentle smile that put everyone at ease. He had a heart of gold and touched the lives of so many different people in so many ways.



Dad is survived by his wife Simone and their seven children:

A gravesite memorial service will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, June 4th 2022 in Cypress California.
