We know Al from church. Al certainly was an amazing man. My family came to Reformation Lutheran Church after moving to Media 9 years ago and Al and Marlyn were certaining very welcoming members. We always enjoyed watching and listening to Al and his wife in the choir and Al always made a point to say good morning to me. The void in the air at church is certainly noticeable not only by me but other members. He will be sorely missed, but his spirit will live forever.

I have only seen Al once in the last 40 years (at my mother's funeral), but he had a huge impact on my life. When he was a supervisor in Fabrics and Finishes at DuPont, if he had not been willing to take on an untrained, 19 year old college flunk out as a programmer trainee, I might not have enjoyed the successful 41 year career in the information technology field that I did.
