Samuel Vincent Tornabene

Hot dog entrepreneur and all around jokester, Samuel Vincent Tornabene, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022 at the age of 90. He was born and raised in Harvey, Illinois. He married Santa (nee Maranto) on January 23,1965 and were soon blessed with two children, Francine and Anthony. Sam moved to Burbank, California in 1987 where he lived the remainder of his long life. Those left behind to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 56 years, Santa; sister Sylvia Cali; daughter Francine (Tortoriello) and husband Anthony and son Anthony and wife Cindy. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren and a great grandson. The family would like to thank his long term doctor and palliative care doctor and team for all their support in keeping Sam comfortable this past year. Thank you, Dr. Ther Hacopian and Dr. Hobart Leung and Jocelyn. Services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Wee Kirk o' the Heather chapel, Forest Lawn, Glendale. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
