Thomas Theodore's Obituary

Thomas Theodore Korbos age 86 of Villa Park, IL. WWII U.S. Army veteran, stationed in Japan where he received the Victory Medal. Born of Greek decent August 10, 1928 in Chicago to the late Theodore James and the late Kaliope nee Athas Korbos. Preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Beloved husband of Niki nee Gioni Korbos for 54 years. Loving father of Theodora (late Raynard) Burnette, Theodore Thomas Korbos, Eveleen (Palvo) Alimpalis, Kristine Gelis, Joanie Manioudakis and the late Carolyn Ferrah. Dearest grandfather of 8. Great grandfather of 12 and great great grandfather of 1. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tom was a successful business man, exceptional golfer, winning three holes in one as a member of the Chicago Golf Association. He was a competitive dancer and instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studios winning the Harvest Moon Dance Competition several times with his sister, Christine. Noted and respected by many who loved and adored him. He will be truly missed. Visitation on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service 10:30 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 893 N. Church Road, Elmhurst, IL.
