Not sure what to say?

Hello dad, what can I say about you that would encapsulate all of the feeling and memories I've had of you. You are the kind of man I aspire to be. You took in children that weren't your own and raised them as best you could. Anything you set out to do in both work and personal life you accomplished. My only regret with you is that I didn't spend as much time with you as an adult as I would have liked but the world works that way. You cared for us in your own way bc let's face it showing...

Vance,

I don’t even know where to begin. I can’t put into words just how I feel....

I didn’t know you for a lot of your life but I knew you for a lot of mine. You are my friend, older brother, mentor. I always admired your attention to diction and proper grammar. You are one of the most intelligent people I know; so clever and witty. You had a way about you. You knew when to speak up and when to sit back and listen (I am still learning how to do that). I have so many...

Vance, I’m so grateful to have been your friend. You were my mentor and eventually “uncle” Vance. I will always cherish our gear head debates, your political rants and most especially your hippie ways. We were surely an odd friend pair but I certainly preferred it that way. I will miss your intellect, your humor and your paradoxically curmudgeon awesomeness. Take care Vance. Love you dude.
Kevin B.

I will miss you and your sharp wit. I always appreciated all the information you would give when I asked you a question. i will remember your kindness to any animal, large or small. Rest in peace brother-in-law, I will miss you so much. Love, Nita

I had the opportunity to meet Vance at the Palm Springs Air Museum. He was always a kind and gentle man. Always taking the time to talk about the planes at the museum. You will be missed.

My dearest Vance. I really don't have the words to express what I'm really feeling right now. But you are my friend, my coworker and one of my dad's. And I just wanted to thank you for all the good things that you brought into my life and I will miss you. Love Delaine.

I think you should know you have always been the man I most admired, and wanted to be like. You're like the Dos XX most interesting man. I know it had to be tough growing up under the Great Al Lausmann, but you've become his equal in life. I hope sometime I can say the same. You cast a big shadow, and it took my awhile to overcome that. I have that incredible Lausmann gene of being unable to express any emotion in person. Love you Pop.
