Virginia Mae Cochems

Virginia Mae Cochems, 87, passed away on November 3rd in Buena Park, California. She was known as Vicki or Ginger.

Vicki was born in Oklahoma to Harold and Florence Kirk on September 25th, 1932. She married Robert "Bob" Cochems on June 19, 1949 in Paramount, CA. Vicki and Bob shared a strong faith, a loving relationship, and lived their lives by example. Her husband, Bob, preceded her in death in 2006. She has missed him every day and has looked forward to being reunited with him and her heavenly father.

Vicki is survived by her four daughters, Kathleen Burd (David), Christine Tokar, Debra Bonnar and Eileen Brooks; her sister Norinne Plazola; 8 Grandchildren and 10 great-Grandchildren. Vicki was also known as "mom" by several others over the years because of her legacy of embracing others with love, acceptance and encouragement.

Her daughters will receive friends and family at her viewing on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at Forest Lawn, 1500 E San Antonio Drive, Long Beach, CA between 5 pm and 9 pm.

On Monday, November 11th, a Graveside Service celebrating her life will be held at 9:30 am at Forest Lawn with Pastor Mike Hinojosa of Christian Life Church officiating.
