My condolences to Irene & Family, In your loss. Praying for you at this time in your loss. So many memories from !st Baptist, Cypress,Texas. Volley was our R/A leader, Such a wonderful man. Took us on a Trip to Waco for a Football game, also a overnight camping trip to Rosharon, Tx. where his sister lived I believe, Took us coon hunting We had a great time. Charles E Cates, Houston Tx.

Dear Irene & family, You & Volley have been such a blessing to us down through the years. Your strong, consistent Christian walk has meant much to us. We rejoice that Bro. Volley will spend Christmas with Christ. We pray for strength and peace for each of you. Your Brother & Sister in Christ, Jim and Irma Moehle. With all our love and prayers.

Mr. Volley touched so many people in his lifetime. My family and I were just a couple of those people and we will forever miss him. Praying for the whole family.

Volley was truly a Godly man...My husband and I met Volley and Irene a little over twenty years ago. Volley would just light up when he talked about his faith and his service with Christian Builders and his service with the Gideons. He always greeted me with a smile and a one of a kind Volley hug. I know you are at peace and free from the worries and troubles of this world. We will see you again! Volley, like my dad ,You could as they say Talk the horns off a billy goat. Hope yall meet and...

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I remember him from First Baptist in Cypress. He was friends with mother and daddy.

He was a very sweet and nice Godly man. He loved his Lord. It was a blessing on knowing him. I always loved seeing him he always had a big beautiful smile on his face everywhere he went. He will be missed . But live on in everyones hearts in family and friends. Much prayers and love to his family. He is up in heaven with his Heavenly Father and his Lord and savior.


Volley's Obituary

Volley Tyler, age 92 of Waller, passed away on December 5, 2019. He is preceded in death by parents Lew Dennis and Ketha Dunn; brothers Lehman Tyler, Mack Tyler, Cilton Tyler, Kenneth “Blackie” Tyler, Mike Tyler; sister Keitha Selby. He is survived by his wife Irene Tyler; sons Paul Tyler and wife Ranell, Glen Tyler and wife Glynis; daughter Valarene Whitman and husband Lewis; brothers D. M. Tyler and wife Barbara, Donnie Tyler and wife Dot; sisters Edith Gundy, Loyce White and husband Roy “Poochie”; grandchildren Wesley Tyler and wife Shelly, James Tyler and wife Jennifer, Rachel Mendoza and husband Gregory, Rosanne Lopez and husband Joe, Deanna Youngblood and husband Nick, Emily Havard and husband Derik, Adrianne and Kristin Russell; great grandchildren Hannah, Ethan, Andrew, Ben, Audriana, Joshua, and Lily; as well as many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The Gideons International at www.gideons.org.

Visitation will be Monday,  December 9, 2019 from 5-8 pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1pm at Champion Cowboy Church with Reverend Randy Theiss officiating. Interment will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery.
