Mr. Sheppard: Hello once again from the little voice over the fence. (Although my voice isn't so little anymore...and neither am I.)

Usually fences divide...but the one between your yard and my parents' yard did not do that. In fact, it became our meeting place...a place that brought us together. It's a shame more neighbors don't see their fence this way.

It was a pleasure growing up with you across the fence.

To the Sheppard family: I am thinking of you...

It was a pleasure knowing such a gentle, kindhearted man like Mr. Sheppard. You all are in my prayers for strength and peace. Thinking of you now and in the days to come.

Sending love and prayers to the family of Mr. Shepard, from 4th Grade teachers at Briggs Elementary school. Our thoughts are with you. May God cover you as with a blanket of His sweet peace.

I was so lucky to work as a secretary for Mr. Sheppard for approximately 8 years. He was a wonderful man, very supportive and generous with his help. I look back on those times with much happiness and appreciation. I'm very sorry to hear of his death and I offer my deepent sympathies to the family.

Daddy, It has been an honor and privilege to be a part of your family for the past 39 1/2 years as your daughter-in-law. I will always remember you as a loving family man who put God and family above everything else. Your quick wit and easy laughter will be greatly missed. I know in my heart you are in a better place where there is no more pain, but what I wouldn't give to be able to see your soft smile just one more time. I'll miss our easy banter over college football, especially...
