Not sure what to say?

Though it has been nearly 6 months since Coach O passed I still catch myself thinking about him. The man had an impact on me that most people don't get to ever receive. His wise words and metaphors still give me motivation and a helpful answer in times of confusion. Bill Ohlson got up every time he was knocked down, except once. RIP coach O your loved and missed greatly

Coach, you will always be remembered by all of us that had the privilege of being in one of your classes or on one of the teams you coached. I still today often think and laugh about riding in your Bug to scout out other school swim teams. The summers that you gave me and a few of the other guys on the swim team guarding for Schaumburg. I often thought of you all these years when things weren't just right and the advice you used to give me and I would think to myself ( What would Coach do or...

RIP Coach O. Thank you for your words of inspiration and encouragment and always seeing the best in every player.

The last Ohlson swim team 1969-70 East Leyden

The family called him dad, grandpa and Bill and willing to bet a William once or twice too. I knew him as Mr. Ohlson, Coach and Bill. I knew Bill as a teacher in the field house and classroom, a swimming and football coach and as a friend. Thanks Mr. Ohlson for making me and so many other Eagles soar in our lives as you did in yours. East Leyden,Class of 1971

What an incredible man Coach Ohlson was! He coached me for a couple of years in badminton. Hardest workouts of my life. He was tough and full of encouragement. The life lessons he taught me were invaluable. Blessings to his family!

My sincere condolences to the Ohlson family. Coach Ohlson was my sophomore football coach. He was demanding but fair, qualities that I tried to model during my own high school coaching career. God bless you all at this difficult time.
