RIP Ms Ann This is a late message I was surprised to know when i stopped last year to get a real burger for a change. she went to get rest from the dedicated career at my favorite burger cafe. Today got a taste for one again after i end my day. She almost kicked me out my first visit years ago i did not know her etiquette standards at the counter when people were waiting on the patio. All and all it was a good experience. Ms Ann will be greatly missed even though we can see her through her relatives still keeping the culinary legacy continue and thank you.

I recently tried a burger from Ms. Ann's snack bar in December of 2014 and was amazed at the flavor. Such care was taken to season the burgers as they cooked on the grill. I remember so many customers, some waiting on the insider, some on the outside and the call-in customers who dropped in to pick up their order. I had an opportunity to talk with Ms. Ann that day and I feel privileged. She will be missed.

One of the Best Burgers ever made in the United States. One of the first places visited was my Beloved Cousin's Restaurant when moving to Atl. As a child, I grew up hearing about how famous her Restaurant had become with many signatures and photos of people from all over and specifically the Atlanta Politicians and Government Officials. You will be greatly missed, but the Legacy & Royalty (literally) will Live Forever within Our Hearts and Soul. A Queen in your Own Way!
You did it your way and took ownership~~

It didn't matter if you were the CEO of the biggest company downtown or the toughest guy in the neighborhood or anyone else stopping in for a burger, but if the 8 stools at the counter were taken when you stuck your head in the door, Ms. Ann would inform you "Get out! It's full!" and you'd have to gather on the porch and wait your turn in line with everyone else. RIP, Ms. Ann. You are missed already.

God knows a sweet spirit and God will bless your soul Ann Price! One of the keys to heaven is being able to be kind and loving and, while the exterior of your appearance may have seemed rough, your internal spirit was warm and loving. The same goes for your Shack. Your place wasn't located in the "best" of locations on Memorial Dr and it didn't have bright glowing neon lights to attract the huge following you gained over the years. What you offered was one of the best burgers in America. Your burgers not only nourished our body's, they nurtured our souls. I will miss you Mrs Ann Price and you will not be forgotten.

What can I say about this woman, an institution in Georgia and around the world. She had wit about her that you dare not challenge. But of course, Ms. Ann, plain and simple had rules. Follow the rules, then you were going to be ok...Lol. She will truly be missed. I miss her already!

April 21, 2015

Ms Annie I will never forget you. I so enjoyed the two times I visited your establishment and the second visit was a charm. You had a full fledge conversation with me from politics and only you and I know what was said and children these days. Because I brought my teen daughter in and we were upset with one another and you made it all better. You spoke to my daughter about history just being in your wonderful kitchen. I will miss you dearly and it was a privilege to be in your presence. You will be missed.

The first time I met Ms. Ann, I was kinda intimidated an leary about eating there after seeing a patron who broke one of your "Simple Rules" was asked to leave. However, as I sat waiting, another customer broke down the rules to me and I understood and respected them. Having said that, I will truly miss you Ms. Ann and having the small talk about news events and wisdom you spoke while waiting on my burger or split. You were a pillar & gem in the East Lake, Atlanta & Global communities. Thank you for all your years of service you unselfishly given to us and blessed the city with such a EXCELLENT sandwich! You will be sorely missed. God Bless You!

Miss Ann was one of the most intelligent lady I have every met. I never forget when I was at the grocery store on Moreland and she was there buying her hot dogs and I was buying a scratch off ticket and she said buy me one and I did just that. We laughed about it and she went on out the door with it. I will really miss her cooking and this one lady did not play about standing around. She also could tell you of every officer and Atlanta.

Rest in Paradise my queen.
