Shirley Coy Obituary

VERONA - Shirley Coy, age 85, of W. Main Street passed away peacefully early Friday morning, October 22, 2010 in Rome Memorial Hospital.
She was born on May 2, 1925 in Ridgeway, Ill., a daughter of the late Luman and Artie (Cox) Coy and attended the Oneida schools.
Shirley enjoyed the time she spent at home with her family and enjoyed caring for her family. She was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are her two sisters, Loveda Cianfrocco of Verona, Alta (Fred) Cianfrocco of Oneida, two fond nieces, Susanne and JoAnne Cianfrocco of Verona, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Orville and Artie Nichols, one sister and two brothers-in-law, Lela and Terrance Dunham and Joseph Cianfrocco.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Vanderhoof and his staff for the kind and compassionate care shown to Shirley.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front St., Vernon. Shirley's funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following calling hours. Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton, NY.
