Rocco S. Lombardo

Rocco S. Lombardo died on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at home. He was 51. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 31-33 Main St., Netcong, (www.netcongfuneral.com). Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 11, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Queens, N.Y., and raised in Massapequa, Long Island, N.Y., Mr. Lombardo moved to Hollywood, Fla., in 1974 with his family. He relocated to Mt. Olive Township in 2008. In 1980, he became a proud member and police officer of the Pembroke Pines Police Department in Pembroke Pines, Fla. He enjoyed coachingLittle League baseball for the Pembroke Pines Optimist Club, where he met his loving wife, Yvonne. He was predeceased by his father, Salvatore, and his sister, Francine Damiano, and is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his mother, Marie; his mother-in-law, Aida Riporti; his brother, Augustino; two brothers-in-law, Jerry and Joseph Riporti; and his sister in-law, Nannette Riporti. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins and all the friends he made along the way.
