Norman Caron Obituary
Born July 7, 1935 in Hyannis, Mass., he was a son of the late Norman H. Caron and Lena (Gagner) Gonella and was raised in Sandwich, Mass., by his mother and stepfather, the late Amedio Gonella.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a heavy equipment operator in construction with the Local 478 Operating Engineers.
On Nov. 17, 1956, he wed the love of his life, the former Leona Burdo at Holy Angels Church in Altona, N.Y.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. The Funeral will gather starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home before the celebration of the Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, 128 Norwich Ave., Colchester. Committal with full military honors will follow in the New St. Andrew Cemetery, Colchester.
