Frank Joseph Miano of The Villages, Florida passed away peacefully on December 13, 2020 at the age of 94. Frank was born on August 13, 1926 in Milton Massachusetts, spent most of his adult life in Millersville, Maryland and the last 25 years of his life in Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jean (Varanelli), his brother Joe, sister Jean and his beloved wife of 62 years, June (Carlson). He is survived by his loving children Lynn (Beck), Frank Miano Jr, Denise (Banks) and their spouses, grandchildren Billy, Joshua, Steven, Geoff, Lauren, Joey and Allyce, great granddaughters Juliya and Gianna, and some very special friends and neighbors including Joyce Ferraro of The Villages. Frank spent his young life traveling up and down the Eastern seaboard, living and attending schools in Florida, Virginia and New York. Like many in his generation, he honorably served in World War II and Korea, and spent time working for the National Security Agency. After his military career, Frank and June settled in Maryland where they raised their family and lived for close to 35 years. He had a successful career in all aspects of Real estate - brokerage, sales, teaching, development and management. He was also very actively involved in civic affairs, with leadership positions in Rotary, Trade Councils, Chambers of Commerce and sat on various Boards, including the Board of North Arundel Hospital. Frank was an avid boater on the Chesapeake Bay for many years, loved to travel and read, and enjoyed the game of golf in his later years. He was always very active in the Catholic church and most of all loved spending time with his family. A celebration of Frank's life will be held in Millersville, Maryland in the coming weeks with more information to follow.
