1. How can I sign a Guest Book?

To sign a Guest Book, first locate the obituary or death notice. If the obituary includes a Guest Book, you will see a box next to the obituary with buttons to view or sign the Guest Book. Clicking "Sign" will take you to the Guest Book and bring up a box where you can enter your message. Alternately, clicking the "View" button will take you to the Guest Book page where you can view all current entries, as well as enter a message. Click either "Sign Guest Book" or "Add a message to the Guest Book" (near the top of the page below the deceased’s name) to bring up a box where you can enter your message.

After you type your message, click "Preview Entry" to bring up a preview of your entry as it will appear on the site. Click the black circled X in the upper right corner of the preview to close the preview box and make any edits or corrections. When you are satisfied with the appearance of your entry, click "SUBMIT," located in the lower right portion of the Sign Guest Book box. You must click "SUBMIT" to complete your entry. Once you click "SUBMIT," you will have the option to enter your email address to receive updates on the Guest Book. Click "SUBMIT" after entering your email address. If you do not wish to enter your email address, click "Close;" your entry will not be affected. You'll know you've successfully submitted your entry when you see a thank-you message on the confirmation page.

Please note that entries do not appear online immediately. All entries are reviewed for appropriate content and typically appear online within a few hours.


2. I have signed a Guest Book, but I don’t see my entry online. Where is it?

All Guest Book entries are screened by our staff for appropriate content before being placed online.

Please allow 24 hours for review, and then check the Guest Book for your entry. If you don't see your entry after 24 hours and you believe it meets our guidelines, please contact us with your name, the full name of the deceased, and the date of your entry. We will be happy to investigate the status of your entry.


3. How can I view other entries for this Guest Book?

To view Guest Book entries, first locate the obituary or death notice. If the obituary includes a Guest Book, you will see a box next to the obituary with buttons to view or sign the Guest Book. Clicking the "View" button will bring you to the page where you can view all current entries. Please note that our staff screens all Guest Book entries for appropriate content before placing them online. Typically, entries appear online within a few hours. In rare cases, however, there may be a delay.

If the View/Sign Guest Book box next to the obituary includes the sentence, "Be the first to share your memories or express your condolences in the Guest Book, " this means that we have not yet approved any entries for online posting.


4. How can I keep a Guest Book online longer?

Keeping this Guest Book available online is a wonderful way to allow those who knew your loved one to express their sympathy and share fond memories. Even if you are not a member of the family, consider keeping this Guest Book open as a special gift to the family. Keep this Guest Book online by purchasing a sponsorship. By doing this, you'll be giving loved ones a place to express their feelings, and share memories any time they'd like in the months and years ahead.

To sponsor a Guest Book, click "Keep Online" at the top of the Guest Book page. This will take you to a page where you can view options for extending the Guest Book past the current expiry date and place an order online.

If you do not see this link, the Guest Book has already been sponsored.

If the Guest Book has already been sponsored for one year and you would like to extend it further, please check the Guest Book approximately five days before the current sponsorship is due to expire. At that time, there will be a link on the Guest Book page to extend the sponsorship.


5. How can I get a printed copy of a Guest Book?

6. How can I request a correction to my Guest Book entry?

To request a correction to your entry, please contact us with your name, the date of your entry, and the correction you would like us to make. We will be happy to make the change.


7. How can I add a photo to the Guest Book?

Adding photos is a moving way to share in the memory of your loved one. The photos you add to the Guest Book offer a connection to your loved one that cannot be achieved with words alone, and provide visitors an enriched sharing experience. All photos added to the Guest Book are viewable in the Guest Book photo gallery. Photos uploaded with an entry will appear next to the entry.

To submit a photo without entry text, click "Add Photo to Guest Book" underneath the deceased's name. You can also include a photo with your Guest Book entry by clicking "Add photo to entry" below the entry submission box.

Next, a window will appear that shows the folders in your computer. Select your photo and click "Open." You will see a preview of your photo and an optional caption box, as well as fields where you can enter your first and last name. Click "SUBMIT" to complete the upload process.

You can include one photo with your Guest Book entry, or you can submit up to 10 photos at once directly to the photo gallery. Be sure to click "SUBMIT" once you’ve selected all your photos.

Helpful tips:
  • We recommend that each image file be smaller than 100 KB.
  • Photos can be submitted in the following formats: JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG.
  • Once uploaded, your photo will be automatically sized to fit in the photo gallery.
  • Photos in the gallery are displayed in the order uploaded, with the most recently-submitted photos appearing first.
  • All photos are reviewed prior to posting and typically appear online within several hours of submission.

8. How can I restore a Guest Book that is no longer online?

Even after a Guest Book expires, we retain all Guest Book entries that appeared online. If you would like to restore a Guest Book that is no longer online and view all previous entries, you can do so by purchasing a paid sponsorship. If you are interested in this option, please contact us.


9. Can my personal data be removed from

For privacy reasons, you may have the right to ask for certain personal information relating to you to be removed. With written request, will remove any personally identifiable information previously submitted by an individual. Please contact us with your request and allow 45 days for completion.


10. What if I have another question?
