Michael Bradshaw Obituary

Mr Michael Bradshaw of New Whittington has passed away at Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, aged 72 years. Born in Chesterfield, he lived locally in the town all his life.
Now retired, Michael started his working life at Staveley Works doing an apprenticeship as a moulder and core maker in the foundry. He then moved on to Butterley Engineering in Ripley as a metallurgist. Afterwards he became a bus driver for Chesterfield Corporation Transport before returning to Staveley Works in the early 1980s, where he remained until he took redundancy in 2000. After a short spell as a care worker, Michael took early retirement due to ill health.
His interests included listening to music, gardening, looking after his tropical fish and using his computer to create handmade cards for family and friends. He loved going on holiday especially to Menorca where he had made a number of friends.
Divorced, Michael leaves two daughters Kerry and Zoe, grandchildren Jack, Jessica, Nicola and Finley. Michael also leaves his partner of 22 years, Ivy, and her sons Martin, Bryan and grandchildren Sian, Dane and Eli, his elder sister Ann, brother-in-law Jim and niece Julie, family and friends.
Michael's funeral will take place on Tuesday November 21st 2017 at Chesterfield Crematorium at 10.10 am after at The White Hart Pub, Calow, all welcome . Donations to will be given to Air Ambulance.
