Andy had a great quiet sense of humor. We will all miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Goya and all of his family...extended and otherwise. We will all remember him with great fondness. We will miss him.

My nephew Andy was so compassionate and caring from his earliest years. I remember when he burst into tears at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum when he was about 6 years old, crying in dismay and horror "You mean they killed all of those animals just so we could look at them!" He kept that love of animals and care for the people around him his entire life.

Andy, you showed us all how to meet adversity and conquer it as you faced your illness with strength, courage, humor and patience. I will think of you whenever I read or watch a good sci-fi or fantasy novel/movie, eat your favorite foods, or enjoy a good joke reflecting the absurdity of life. Your life was special, and impacted all who came in contact with you. Your love of the Bible and strong faith in God inspired me, and I know you will rest in peace in the company of the angels and all of those loved ones who preceded you in death.

Our nephew, Andy was one of the most loving, caring beings God ever put on this Earth. His heart was huge and he showed it to us in every possible way. He always called to see how we were doing, and yet he was so very sick himself. He loved to joke, laugh and talk to us about so many subjects-books, movies, tv, cooking, family and friends-but especially God. Also, Andy was so compassionate about rescue dogs that we ended up adding three to our family this year!! Andy was so strong in every way and would want us all to carry on and do the best we can knowing that he's in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Andy. You deserve it! Elaine, Sam, Tony, Sharon, and Sean
