Jefferson, Anne
Anne Jefferson went to be with Jesus on August 20, 2016. She was born on May 17, 1933, in Amarillo, TX to Edna Rundell and Arthur Boyd Kirby. She met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Jefferson in 1953 and they married a year later. They lived briefly in Biloxi, MI while Bob was in the Air Force. They were transferred to Albuquerque, NM in early 1955 which became their final home.
Anne became involved in the community in a variety of volunteer roles and both became very active in church. Anne was a stay-at-home mom that committed herself fully to the activities of her three children. As her children grew older, she became very active in Bible Study Fellowship, where she was a discussion leader for many years. Later, she and Bob lead another city-wide Bible Study called Community Bible Study. Anne and Bob built a cabin outside of Durango, CO and they loved to entertain their wide variety of friends in the later years. Anne was afflicted, in her 30's, with rheumatoid arthritis which she battled for the rest of her life. In spite of the debilitating disease, she never complained, and was an inspiration to all that knew her.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Arthur Kirby; and her husband, Bob Jefferson. She is survived by her brother, Arthur B. Kirby Jr. (Ginger) of Ft. Worth, TX; sons, Kirby Jefferson (Camille), Russ Jefferson (Dana); daughter, Kimberly Tomasi (David). She had four grandchildren, Tyler Jefferson, Katie Jefferson, Adam Jefferson and Alyxandria Tomasi and three great-grandchildren, Madison Jefferson, Noah Jefferson and Jacob Jefferson.
If you wish to honor Anne, the family requests donations be made to CareNet or Wounded Warriors in lieu of flowers.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH â€" Wyoming. Please visit our online guestbook for Anne at
