Hi, I remember being with Bruce on the day in 1963 when the Chicago Bears won 72-0. The adults were inside and we outside playing.
Also cannot forget mid-sixties summer visits to Saugatuck! Bruce found lots to do there and knew a lot.
Bruce kept in contact with me throughout the years. Only recently though did he tell me that he was given one of those "you've got six months to live" dictums, that had been being given to him many years prior. But he was having to deal with pesky treatments; his complaints though were minimal and Bruce mostly was preoccupied with things that he liked to do.
I'll miss him; have been thinking everyday since I found out about it last month. I called him a few weeks after he didn't answer emails I sent. But it was too late. I hope he passed peacefully and blissfully.

Dear Bruce,
If you get a chance to read this (although I tell you everyday), I want you to know that we miss your smile, your witty remarks, your boisterous laugh, and loving long arms around us whenever we hugged. I miss speaking with you on the phone for hours at a time, reminiscing about good times in Saugatuck, growing up in Michigan in the 60's and 70's, raising lots of hell and apologizing to no one about our antics. No one got hurt, and a lot of fond memories were made in the process. You were always my "Big Brother" "Biggie" "Juice", and many other aliases all given lovingly by friends and family. You stood in for Dad on those long summer days when we'd run roughshod through the streets of Saugatuck and the dunes over Lake Michigan. You inspired me to play drums, later join the Navy, and continue pursuing my dreams as an adult. You never gave up your dreams, even when life threw you curve balls. You showed me and those all around you how to truly live and enjoy life, no matter what obstacles stood in your way...Your legacy of passion and kindness will forever light our paths until we meet again.
