Dear Larry, Rebecca, Ari and Eden,
I am very sad for your loss of Chai.
In my family when we celebrate someone's life we talk about their birth. What I remember being told of Chai's birth was Rebecca went into labor and you headed to Albuquerque to deliver with a midwife friend but felt contractions getting stronger and Larry checked you at the Blue Corn restaurant. You were dilating rapidly and decided to turn around and go home. You also had Meg and Walter meet you to deliver Chai. I believe that is why you decided to deliver at home for Ari and I happened to be at his birth.
Chai came into this world fast and left too soon. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I won't physically be attended the memorial to Chai but will be thinking of you all. I'm daycall over the weekend for Michael.
Love,
Melani
