Deuto, Christine Carol
Christine was born September 20, 1948 in Fort Dix, New Jersey to Donald and Margaret King. While Donald was remotely deployed for the Army, Christine and her mom spent her early childhood in Vienna, Austria with her grandparents. After a short stay in Fort Knox, KY and several stays in Vienna, Christine graduated from Woodbury High School in New Jersey. She then enrolled in the Florida Southern College in 1967 where she met Bernard Deuto and two years later they were married. After starting a family with two sons Joshua and Jeremy and graduating from UNM with a degree in education, Christine started her career as an elementary school teacher. While raising two boys, teaching full time and completing her Master's Degree in Special Education presented challenges which Christine handled with elegance and grace.
After retiring in 2005 from Morarity School District including ten years with APS, Christine enjoyed many activities. These include traveling, book clubs, a gourmet group, arts and crafts, PEO, but the thing that gave her the most joy was visiting the three grandsons, Christopher, Luke and Chase. She was the best Oma, ever.
Christine Carol Deuto passed away on January 19, 2016, while holding hands with her husband Bernard. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Margaret King. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bernard Gregory Deuto; her sons Joshua Josef Deuto and Jeremy Daniel Deuto; her grandsons, Christopher Deuto, Luke Deuto and Chase Deuto.
Christine Carol Deuto was a master educator, creative entrepreneur and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was in every way, a "Beautiful Person."

I was surprised and saddened to hear of
Christine's passing from my sister. I
used to babysit for Josh and Jeremy when
I was a teenager in Four Hills. I remember
Christine as a friendly, easygoing mother
and to this day, remember our talks about
books. She was always interested in my
life and I'm glad I knew her. My
heartfelt condolences to you Butch, Josh
and Jeremy.

We were so very fortunate to have know Chris, and so fortunate for us to have her as our daughter's mother-in-law. She always treated us as family with her thoughtfulness and hugs. We had good times at the Balloon Festival, boat and the Christmas Holidays. She was a very loving and caring person, and gave so much love to her family. She was full of life and so very creative and giving. You left us to soon Chris, so He must have something wonderful for you to do now. You will be missed by family and friends forever. May you Rest In Peace dear Chris.

Chris has influenced my life in so many positive ways. She changed my life creatively for the better forever and I will never forget her for that. Also, her advocacy for my son has meant so much to our family. Being with her gave me the connection to Austria I missed so much. I will miss our conversations about the culture we shared.
