Don and I were first cousins, born in the same year, 1947. My mother was the sister of his father. We were close from ages 12-18. After High School I went to college and Don went into military service. I moved to California two years later and still reside here.

Yes, Don could tell a story - and he had a lot of them! They weren't always true, and greatly embellished if they were, but they were always entertaining.

You may know he was always called "Don Louie" by his parents growing up, but of course no one else ever called him by that name (including me). I was a goody-goody when we were young, and he made sure I got into minor trouble occasionally - along with him.

I was sorry to hear of his passing. He was very much a part of my early life and teen years. Those were crucial years for our young lives and I have many memories of him. Time, geographical distance and circumstances meant we lost touch as adults.

My condolences to his family.

My condolences to Don's family. I worked with Don at the telephone Company. He was a very respectful, generous, kind person. I always enjoyed talking and working with Don. May he RIP.
