Ernie was a great man (and sailor). He was my friend, my mentor, best friend and Lodge Brother. His help was the most important thing in our obtaining our Masonic Charter in Timberon, New Mexico , in 1991. I was the charter Master because of his teaching and helping me learn New Mexico work in Masonry. If you ever needed a friend to brighten your day - it was Ernie. Dorothy, your tremendous loss is also a loss to the Masonic Fraternity and all of his friends, which were many.. I only learned of his death yesterday. God bless you, Dorothy.

Ernie, you were such a wonderful man. Thoughtful, loving, humorous, story-telling, heart-centered, smiling, hard-working, energetic. Words can't possibly describe how you showed up in your life. You will be missed in so many ways. Your love and care of Dorothy is what brought us together. May you enjoy your after-life, as we know you will continue to look out for her from wherever you are.
Much Love, Jim & Jo

MWB Ill. Ernie was one of the people I most looked up to. His friendliness and humor I will always remember. John R. Adams

A finer friend and shipmate one could not find anywhere.
