Harold Nichols Obituary

Nichols, Harold Eugene

1939-2016

Harold Nichols, 77, of Columbia, MO formerly of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his home in Columbia. Services and interment will be in the spring at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM.

Harold was born February 16, 1939 in Wellston, OH to Robert & Bessie Brown Nichols. He began work in construction before going to work for USPS as a mail carrier from 1984-1999. He loved to spend time with his grandkids and family. In addition to his passion for antique automobiles, he was a talented wood worker and, in his earlier years, enjoyed going fishing and camping with family. He will be remembered by all that knew him as a person who would always be there to help any way he could. He had a big heart and gave of himself, but never wanted recognition as was his humble nature.

Harold is survived by his sons, Harold "Nick" and Sue Nichols, Jr. of Coatesville, PA and Rob and Robin Nichols of Ballwin, MO; grandchildren, Courtney and Carleigh Nichols, Shannon Taylor, and Matthew Nichols; brothers Glenn and Melvin Nichols; and sisters, Darlene Long and Ruth Mercer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Nichols; a brother, Russell Nichols; and his parents.
