I was so sad to hear this news! Johnny and I were in an art group together. It always made me so happy to see him. I loved his sense of humor, his openness, his bringing of new ideas to the group. He was always so happy to learn new techniques and was always diligently experimenting with new materials and processes. His use of color was always so bright, just like his personality. He will be greatly missed by me.

I do not know if this is the Johnny Smith that our clay class knows and loves. He had trouble with his throat. We have tried to connect with him but have been unable. May peace be with Johnny where ever he is.

So sorry to learn about the passing of our fellow "Bulldog" Johnny Lee. We will always remember his kindness and friendship throughout our school years and whenever we would run into him on our trips to Albuquerque.
