Ostelano G. Romero, age 82, born in Manzano, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at home with his family at his side.
Mr. Romero is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Ida; children, Mary Lou Romero, Lina Gutierrez, James Romero and wife, Bertha, Billy Joe Romero, Veronica Romero and husband, Ralph, Michael Romero and wife, Sharee, and Antonia Trujeque and husband, Daniel; twenty-four grandchildren; forty-four great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
Mr. Romero was preceded in death by his parents, Tranquilino and Armelina Romero; and his grandmother, Antonia Saiz.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel; Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover SW at 9:30 a.m., Father Zerwas, presider. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Chavez, Lawrence Gurule, Joseph Romero, Ralph Romero, Michael Romero, and Daniel Trujeque. Honorary pallbearers will be David Chavez, and Telles Edwell.
