Schumacher, Mattie Lou
Mattie Lou Schumacher 81 ,passed away peacefully on Thursday Oct,1st in her home.
She was born in Chickasha,OK. Her family settled here in the early forties. Lou graduated from Albuquerque High School. Later in life she was a single mom with four children and that's when she met her soul mate Bob Schumacher. They were married in 1969 and had 40 wonderful and exciting years together until his passing in 2009.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and shopping, along with trips to Laughlin Nev. and the local casinos. She later joined a senior health program where she went twice a week, she made some great friends there and enjoyed the weekly entertainment.
Lou was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her grandson Nicholas Buddy Montoya in 2010; and her oldest daughter Donna Everitt in 2014; then her grandson Jay Everitt in 2014.
She is survived by her sons Robb Cowan, Steve Fraley and wife Cindy; daughters Cathy Montoya, Alisa and husband Bob Dugan; grandchildren Bailey and Robbie Dugan, Sarah Montoya, Jessica Montoya, Waymon Everitt also Chris Everitt and wife Dannie. She also had nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday October 17 at2:00 pm the Riverside Funeral Home 225 San Mateo NE.
